Ever since I first started playing Eve Online, I wanted to fly the big capital ships. More specifically the carriers. They were big and cool looking and would be really awesome to have. However they requirements to actually fly one of those is quite intense! After alot of skill training I've finally gotten to the point to where I can almost fly one! There is one small snag, however, I still have one skill left to train and then I have to purchase the skill book to actually fly one of the carriers. The skillbook itself can easily run up to 450 million isk! Then if you add in the cost to actually purchase a carrier thats an addition 450 million isk on top of that! That's alot of money! Even if I don't get that kind of cash, I still can benefit from all the skills that I have to learn. On a side note, all that skill training is really paying off. I can now fly frigates, crusiers, battlecrusiers, and battleships so well that I can fly them in my sleep! Not only that but I can also use the T2 guns on all my ships which is way better that the basic T1 guns. Using the T2 guns I can solo level 4 missions and sleeper sites over and over. I can't wait to see the money from doing that!
As I fly through the vastness of space, I document my travels for all other pilots to see.

Surviving on the edge
Living in a wormhole has been very difficult, however strangely enough I find that Im starting to get the hang of it. Some of my corp buddies found an asteroid belt and we went mining in wormhole space. The ore here is the best of the best! A pilot can easily make several 100 million isk by mining and killing sleepers. Just the other day I was able to clear a site full of sleeper drones. It was very difficult and it took a while but in the end I was able to kill them all. Its proof that I can not only survive out in the middle of nowhere but also thrive.

Wormhole Frustrations
I had some trouble going into the wormhole today. Wormholes are always shifting so they are never in the same place twice. You only have so much time before the wormhole collapses in one system and reopens in another. That is what happened to me today. I was trying to get my covert ops ship, my Megathron battleship, and my cloaking transport all to the system where the wormhole is located. I can use the covert ops to scout the wormhole areas and find things to do. I could then send the battleship to clear those areas. Then send the transport to bring all the loot back to the station. However, by the time I got all those ships into the system, the wormhole closed up on me! To add to my frustration, the wormhole opened on the other end of the galaxy! So rather than moving all my ships to the system where the wormhole was, I decided to wait and see if the wormhole will open somewhere closer to where I was. It beats having to move each ship 32 jumps and back.

Captain's Quarters
After a two week vacation on a nice pleasure planet, it was time to return to the harshness of space. As I was gone a new expansion arrived and now I have the opportunity to walk around inside the station! After a nice cup of coffee I return the hanger where my battleship the Resolve is docked. As Ive said before its a mighty ship but you have to admit it does look very cool from this angle.

The Races
When you play Eve Online, there are four races to chose from. Amarr, Minmatar, Caldari, and Gallente. I personally play Gallente because Gallente are free-spirited and they are a democratic nation. Plus their ships look really cool to boot. The Amarr are the oldest of the races and are very religous and like to have personal slaves at their beck and call. The Minmatar are slaves who have broken free of the Amarr and are fighting to free their loved ones. Lastly, are the Caldari. The Caldari are from a militaristic society and their leader Tibus Heth rules over them with an iron fist. All of these races are trying to exert their influence on the galaxy. What could possibly go wrong????

I am Megatron!
This battleship is feared on the battlefield and for good reason. I wanted to try out some of the other battleships that are out there besides the Hyperion. One thing that I like about this ship is that it looks alot like an old aircraft carrier or a capital ship from the movies. If you look closely near the back of the ship you can see the bridge. It's a very cool ship to fly and when properly other pilots will learn to fear the name Megatron!

Super Orca to the Rescue!
I was in a mining op with some corp mates and I noticed that one of them brought an Orca to the mining op. The orca is basically a mining capital ship that helps out the other miners by improving their ships and is also a large floating storage container. When at a mining op its the mobile command center of the operation. As I was mining, it pulled behind me and it looks like Im part of it. It was kind of cool looking and awesome. Also the corp wh opened today and I was able to get all my stuff that was locked inside.

The cost of war
My corporation Pulse Industries got war decced today. Its been awhile since theres been a war dec so its kind of nice to go PvP for a change. So far the corp losses have been minimal. I myself haven't lost anything yet. The worst part of this war is that before war broke out I just finished setting up a 2nd colony on a gas planet in 0.0 space. The colony was able to find a motherlode of resources. So many resources in fact that the storage facilities are overflowing! Normally this wouldn't be a bad thing however, with the war dec going on I can't risk losing my cargo to enemy pilots. So I've had to juggle the merchandise from storage facility to storage facility. It's my hope that this war doesn't last too long, I would really like to go retrieve my merchandise and get paid soon...

Planetary Interaction In Wormhole Space
I've finally done it! I've started moving assets into wormhole space. This means that I'll be able to make alot of money and have a base of operations to work out of. I started off by setting up on a barren planet. Even though there's no life on this planet, there is still alot of resources that I can extract from it. As you can see from my photo, my base is fairly big. I still have some bugs to workout but once thats done I will have a solid cash crop to farm out of. Its very exciting and its in wormhole space. I have a transport ship with cloaking device that will be perfect to evade any enemy pilots , grab the cargo and get out safely.

Manufacturing Success!
After collecting all of those ores from the asteriod belt. I had to transport them to a refinery to smelt them into precious minerals and use that to make stuff. I had so many materials that I was able to make some parts for my Obelisk transport! Using the left over materials, I built a Thorax crusier. I sold the cruiser on the open market and head back to mine some more. Not bad for hard day's work.
Every miner for himself!
A fellow corp member was scanning for stuff in the Arraron system when he finds an asteroid belt full of low sec ores like Jaspet, Kernite, and Omber. So we quickly mobilize and get all our ships out to the belt. As we were mining another corporation arrives to try and mine the belt as well! So now its a free for all to see who can mine to most ore out of the belt. The other corporation didn't have all the mining resources that we did. They showed up in pvp kind of ships like a Megathron. Which is kind of funny because we all thought that the Megathron was going to shoot at us but it started shooting mining lasers at the asteroids. Anyhow, we were able to out mine the rival corp and I was able to collect a fairly large stash of ore that I intend to use it to build and manufacture capital ship parts.

Things so far..
Lately I've been busy with real-life stuff and haven't had a chance to update my blog as much as I would like. However, I have been doing ice mining in Tolle. I have collected a small stockpile of ice that I will eventually sell on the open market for alot money. On top of that I've been doing some solo mining for materials to finish building parts for my Obelisk frieghter. Some ways back the corp I was in was at war with another corp and I was transporting goods in my Obby. I got jumped by the enemy pilots and rather than let them blow up my ship, I set the self-destruct and got into an escape pod. While it was really cool watching the faces on the enemy pilots as their prize goes nuclear right in front of them. The obby is a 400 million dollar price tag on it. It makes it VERY hard to replace something like that! The good news is that Im slowly but surely building a new one.

We are now LIVE!
At long last I can now post video and improve the quality of my blog. I will still add screenshots as need be but now I can really get into it. I hope that you have all enjoyed my blog so far and will continue to read more about my adventures as time goes by.

POS takedown cancelled
On the day before the POS takedown, the shields on the POS failed and collapsed. With the shields down the corp decided to attack early. The bad part is that I missed it. It wasn't a complete and total loss however, I joined a fleet with two other corp members and we did several level four missions. Level four missions are very difficult because each mission has frigates, crusiers, battlecruisers, AND battleships. In the picture provided, Im flying my Hyperion battleship the Resolute to the right and above me is a battleship called a Rokh. The battleship to my left and below me is called a Kronos. The Kronos is very special because its an upgraded version of a battleship called a Megathron. Its VERY powerful and hard to get. With just the three of us we made close to 30 million isk just by ourselves. It was awesome and I had fun!
Upgraded my communication equipment
When I wasn't looking some evil space monkeys stepped on my headphones and smashed the controls to bits!. Without my headphones, I've been unable to chat with other pilots. However, I went to the nearest Best Buy dealer and got a replacement for the ones that were broken. I was in a fleet today with some corp members and I got to use my new headphones. It was really cool because I got to chat with my fleet members and I really got into it! Its like going dogfighting at a flight simulator. I really felt like I was a space captain of a hyperion battleship.

Practice Taking down Player Owned Structures
Today my corp found someones POS that was offline. A POS is a player owned structure. Basically, its a private base that can be setup or take in down and usually its found in wh areas. Anyhow, the corp is having an event where we attack other player's POS's. So in order to get ready for it we decided to get some practice in taking one down. It was really fun because there were twenty-two other vessels besides mine. I flew my Hyperion Battleship. I stayed about 33 km away from the POS and just unloaded ammo at a distance. As you can see in the photo there is allot going on. There were alot of battleships from other factions, such as Megathrons, Hurricane's, and Apocalypse's. In the end we made about 30 million isk per player! So we had alot of fun and we made some great money. I can't wait for the POS takedown this weekend!

Ice Mining in the Tolle System
Today I decided to go Ice Mining in the Tolle System. Just like the FIFTY other people who had the same idea I did. When you go ice mining you collect "Blue Ice." It looks just like regular ice only that when you refine it becomes fuel for player owned structures. It sell fairly well since its a critcal element to keep the POS's running.
The Star Map
I figured Id show just how big the universe really is. Every little dot on the picture to the right is a system that you can travel to. Some systems are in high security space where its safe to travel. Others are in low security space where pirates, cutthroats, and mercenaries hangout in. And finally there are systems where there is no security. In these lawless areas, all bets are off and anything goes. As you can see alot can happen in the universe!

A mysterious structure in space
While killing sleepers we come across this odd structure floating silently in space. What secrets does it hold? Who built it and why? Nobody knows and I don't know either. One thing I do know is that what ever it is, its dangerous and wasn't supposed to be found. What do you think is inside? Money, weapons, Mutant zombies ready to eat your brains? You go first, Im right behind you! LOL
Spoils of War
There has been no war, but I had the opportunity to fleet up with a bunch of corp mates. We flew down a wormhole and blew up sleepers. We had a fleet of 6 ships. Together, we totally trashed the sleeper sites. When the sleepers where destroyed, we had someone fly in and loot and salvage the wrecks. There was only small hiccup however. When we were finished we flew back to the wormhole to fly home. Wormholes are only temporary in nature and the exit was disintegrating. I accidently flew through and trapped the rest of the fleet in wormhole space with no way of getting home! Luckly, one of the corp members had a probe launcher and could find a way back to high security space.

Shiny New ships
The corp helped me replace my Hyperion battle ship and an assault frigate. I lost my frigate when I hired a pilot to transport my assault frigate, but he got himself killed by gate campers. I was really mad that I lost the frigate however, I was able to get it back. If you want something done it best to do it yourself. Also I planning on fitting my Hyperion as a short range blaster boat. It will take some time but when I get the skills trained Im going to be able to dish out a ton of damage.

Killing Sleeper Drones
I've been traveling the Eve universe for a long time, however I've had some real life commitments that have been keeping me busy and I haven't had the time to make any money. So today I found a wormhole in a nearby system that I normally work out of. So I explored the wormhole and found some sleeper drones to kill. I brought my brutix battlecrusier Liberty to deal with the sleepers. Although I haven't been playing actively I have been leveling my skills so I did ok for the most part. Unfortuantely, each time you kill a group of sleepers a new group arrives to replace them. I did fine until one of the waves had a battleship in the group. Unfortunately, a battleship beats a battlecruiser every time. I figured that Id cut my losses and head for home. I was able to make about 5-6 million isk from my adventure so I can't complain. Next time Ill have the money to get a battleship of my own and then they will be the ones running for home..

A bright new day in the universe
Today a new updated character creation system was developed for Eve. Basically it allows pilots to get a makeover and look better. I definately needed a makeover! I've stayed so long in the fringes of wild space that I started to look like a feral wild man! Now I look like a determined GOOD looking space captain.
Hopefully I can use my good looks to get a new battleship. I lost mine while doing a mission in low sec space. I was minding my own business when some enemy pilots found me and decided to blow up my ship! I didn't like it because I had to fight on two fronts. On one front I had the npc battleships and on the other the enemy pilots. With my ship destroyed it makes it difficult to make any money.
However, I did rejoin with Pulse Industries. They are a corporation that I have been in before. So things are looking up...

A busy day
Lately the corp Im in has been getting war dec alot lately. Luckily this hasn't been bothering me too much lately. However, Im always having to look over my rear sensors just to make sure Im not in someone's targeting sights. Its been war dec after war dec. I'd go fight if I could but my bank account is next to nothing so my options are severely limited. However, I was able to splurge and get a new Amarr frigate dubbed "Night Creeper." It's a different kind of ship than Im usually flying but its important to be as diverse as possible. This ship reminds me of those cylon raiders from Battlestar Galactica.
